The lamp emits a soft, harmonious and pleasant light, which is directed mainly downwards. As the main point of this lamp, Poul Henningsen used his famous system of three lampshades. He designed this system in 1925 with the aim of creating an attractive, delicate form of lighting. The first lamp using this shade system was developed in collaboration with Louis Poulsen.
